Altogether Lovely began as a tiny glimmer of a dream.

I had previous experience in florals and event planning, and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design for 2 years for bridal design. I loved hosting and making all things beautiful and pleasing, and its difficult to find a place more gorgeous than the backdrop of the lowcountry. This dream seemed the perfect idea to fill a real need and desire while simultaneously having a job that allowed me to a stay-at-home-mother to our 2 year old daughter, Winnie.

As I prayed for guidance and began to think up names before I even knew if I would go through with the business, the Lord placed the phrase ‘Altogether Lovely’ in my heart.

Song of Solomon 5:16 “…Yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, And this is my friend…!”

The scriptures speak of the beautiful and perfect bridegroom, Christ, as altogether lovely. Oh how I’ve learned that this is true, and oh how that wonderful notion defines my existence! Each celebration and gathering I bring to life is meant to reflect the beauty, loveliness, and intention of the One I am enamored with. Each time I have the honor of setting and designing a beautiful banquet table for my clients is an opportunity to reflect to them the beauty I’ve witnessed in my beloved Jesus and share with them a glimmer of His love. Each table is set as if He were in attendance… and oftentimes, He is there, even if He is not seen with physical eyes.
